Goodbye Clare
Our fourth week has come and gone and we're preparing to travel north to Galway. We'll soon be joining forces with Annie in Dublin for the next leg of the trip (N. Ireland and Scotland). We'll be sad to leave the Killeen's -- we have had a wonderful time here and met many great people (and animals!). We'll miss the slow-poured pints as well.
There has been lots of rain and wind here over the past two weeks, but the weeds have still been pulled, the polytunnel planted, the fencelines cleared, calves dehorned...and much more. Last weekend we traveled to East Clare by Lough Derg and checked out Irish Seed Savers - plus we got a lot of reading done when the rain was falling (Alyssa finished Angela's Ashes, Pete has been reading all about Slow Food's philosophy).
More photos have been posted in the Clare album for your enjoyment...

I'll have to get your recipe for happy soda bread ;) Have fun with Annie in Dublin, and hopefully Dublin's tissues ensure your statutory rights just as Clare's did!
Thrilled that you're enjoying your experience & keep the posts coming :)
