Our Time in Belfast

We just finished up day two in Belfast - a city that surprised us. We stayed near Queen's University, which is a lovely area. Toured around that neighborhood today as well as the Shankill and Falls Rd. neighborhoods. There is still such a contrast of bustling city centers versus struggling neighborhoods. Sad really. There is lots of redevelopment though and initiatives to move forward. In addition to our tour, we snooped down into the dry docks which housed the Titanic during its construction. That was a surreal moment. We took bits of scrap and bolts as souvenirs. We highly recommend our cabbie guide, Ken Harper, if you're ever in Belfast!! We head for Scotland tomorrow...more later.
