Windy Hill Farm

We're in Kilrush in County Clare for a farmer's market today -- had beautiful sunny weather all week. The farm (Windy Hill Farm -- Irene & Pakie Killeen) we're working on is just outside the village of Mullagh near Miltown-Malbay. Smooth rolling land all the way down to the sea -- there is even surfing in nearby Lahinch.

We've had a great time here so far -- went to a local farm fair (Alyssa's first) and Alyssa has been weeding in the garden while Pete has been clearing out some stalls (plastic, briars, old metal, etc.) on land that was recently purchased from a neighbor. Irene has a large polytunnel going and is working to "reclaim" the garden as a late spring injury sidelined her efforts. Pakie is busy with the cattle (a calf was born our first night here), donkeys, horses and sheep.
