Tour de Force

London...Paris...Normandy...Switzerland. It has been a whirlwind of a week to say the least! Greg dropped us off in London last Tuesday morning and we spent two days touring the museums, waterfront, etc. including Harry Potter in 3D IMAX. Our friends Michelle and Junell joined us for dinner at the Jugged Hare on our last night (we met them again in Paris). We took a bus to Paris via the Dover/Calais ferry (70 bucks!) and made our home in Montparnasse. We missed breakfast every morning, walked everywhere, had crepes before a six o'clock siesta and never had dinner before 9pm -- Paris is definitely our favorite city thus far.

On Monday we ventured by train to Bayeux and from there took a day long tour of the Normandy beaches, American Cemetery, etc. Very humbling to realize that we both probably crossed the paths that relatives took during the war (Alyssa at Omaha beach, Pete at Ste. Mere Eglise).

Last night we took the late bus to Geneva, Switzerland and have since travelled by train to Zurich. Despite sleep deprivation, we are headed to our next farm near Lake Constance this afternoon. Hope to have photos up soon (we have a lot...).
